Mat-Su Summer Activity Guide

Information provided by
Mat-Su Trails & Parks Foundation

Are you looking for new trails and parks to explore?

The Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation, in partnership with the Mat-Su Borough and Alaska State Parks, has been developing a trail and park resource with all the information you need for your next outdoor adventure.

The Outerspatial app is a great resource but does not replace a compass, map, and research about the area. Please adhere to trail and park user guidelines so that the entire community can safely recreate. This guide is a resource for the community and visitors. It does not represent all trails and parks in the Mat-Su. For more information about these areas download the Outerspatial app, or visit www.matsugov.us/trails

Free App download available on the App Store or Google Play.

You can support your favorite trails today by making a gift at www.matsutrails.org. Thanks for your support, and we’ll see you on the trails!

This summer, our partners and grantees are hard at work creating new and improving existing outdoor opportunities for you, your family, and your neighbors to enjoy. Some of our recent grantees include:

  • Alaska Trails was awarded a $6,500 grant to create a sustainable trail plan for the Pioneer Peak Trail.
