The Lazy Moose Trail up Lazy Mountain is a great way to enjoy wonderful views and the Spring sunshine.

The trail is a gentle ascent, with lots of switchbacks. The 2-mile Lazy Moose Trail reconnects with the Lazy Mountain Trail midway up the peak. Soak up the sun and views of the Matanuska Valley, Bodenburg Butte, and Pioneer Peak at the picnic table, or continue to the top of Lazy Mountain (approximately 1-mile). It's recommended to bring ice cleats or trekking poles for winter/spring conditions. 

This is a Mat-Su Borough Trailhead. A daily parking fee of $5 per vehicle, or an annual parking pass is required. Parking passes can be purchased at the trailhead or online.
