The West North Shore Loop Trail (1 mile) begins and ends at the Griffy Lake dam. Access to this trail system currently crosses over the Griffy Lake spillway. Users are asked to proceed with caution as crossing conditions vary with changing water levels. At the top of the dam the trail splits off to the north from the main trail. Sections of the West North Shore Loop trail explore upland forest habitat before dipping down into a creek bottom to rejoin the proposed Griffy Loop Trail along the lake. Please stay on the trail and remember the Leave No Trace principles when hiking in the area.
