Head south from the East Park Trailhead and CCC Shelter area to take the Yellow Trail. The Yellow Trail travels across the ravines with views of the river, past exposed limestone bedrock marking the top of the valley escarpment and an overlook of the barrow pit. This pit was created during the building of the Taylorsville Dam. An extension trail will also lead to the top of the dam with great views of the valley.
