The Schabarum-Skyline - San Gabriel Valley Overlook Trail is ideal for equestrian use given the sandy surface conditions and close proximity to horse arenas. Trail users should be cautious when crossing over Rose Hills Rd to access the trail on the eastern side of the 605. There is little shade along the trail throughout the morning.

From the 605, take Rooks Rd. Turn right into the County staging area located just after Pacific Park Dr. The trail access point is located to the northwest past the equestrian arena.
