The South Canyon Reach of the Deschutes River Trail travels along both sides of the river south of Riverbend and Farewell Bend Parks. The trail is connected by a bridge at the south end of the canyon and provides a wild and scenic experience right in the heart of Bend. Users will witness beauty at every turn, watching the river rush through the beautiful canyon, cascading over rocks and logs. The trail is primarily natural surface and may be a challenge for some users due to obstacles and steep terrain. Give yourself time to turn around if you wish. Please be advised that bikes are not allowed on the west side of the river.
