This lovely reach of the trail runs between the Deschutes River and a high canyon wall. It is located mostly on the river’s west bank and is a great trail to take a run or walk a four-legged friend, as the trail is wide and relatively flat. Spanning between Pioneer and Sawyer Parks, the trail offers wonderful nature and wildlife viewing of the river and surrounding wetlands. Visitors may catch the frolicking of ospreys, songbirds, trumpeter swans, otter and beaver.
