The Deer Ridge Trail is a 0.6-mile moderately trafficked loop that is located on the west side of the park belonging to the US Army Corps of Engineers. Parking is located at the USACE Visitor Center and accessed across the Slade Road.
This trail that features beautiful wildflowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching, and is best used April through September.
