Trail begins just past the Kula Forest Reserve boundary cattle guard on Waipoli Road, descends via switchbacks to the lower boundary and proceeds southward above the fence line to the ranger's cabin at the junction of the Redwood Trail and the Plum Trail. At the 2.6 mile mark it joins the Waiohuli Trail. Crossing many gulches through native scrub, remnant native tree forest and planted stands of eucalyptus, pines, cedars and other species, the Boundary Trail offers excellent views of Kula and central Maui. Wear bright clothing. Be aware that you may encounter hunters who are hunting off the trail. Stay on trail.
