This short section of the Almond Lake Trail branches from the Windsock Trail and crosses Crystal Lake Rd.

During the winter, the three mile Almond Lake Trail connects the Lucky Shot Trail south to Vera Lake. It is maintained by the Willow Trail Committee for winter multi-use. The summer portion extends a quarter mile to the Almond Lake wetlands from the Lucky Shot. From there, a short, narrow trail to the right will take you to a scenic overlook of the lake.
