The Woodpecker Hollow Trail is inside the Ouachita National Forest, which hosts over 1.8 million acres of thick forests, open fields, and Lake Ouachita.
Woodpecker Hollow Trail gives you a lovely glimpse of all the features of the forest and includes sights of natural wildlife and trees. Along the trail are wood cabins, with old wooden benches to sit on and view the area. The name of the trail comes from the abundance of woodpeckers in the area which make their presence known by the constant pecking of trees.
