Development of the area began in 1949, and it opened in 1956. Facilities include Wick Recreation Center, DEK hockey rink, par 3 golf course, tennis and volleyball courts, batting cages, picnic facilities, softball and baseball diamonds, soccer and football fields, The Juliana Kurinka Children's Play Area, Sled Hill, cross country skiing, the Thomas J. Breaks Pavilion, and the Judge Morley Performing Arts Pavilion.
The Judge Morley Performing Arts Pavilion was dedicated in August 1994. It features a 1,600 sq. ft. stage and a 2.5-acre lawn seating area.
The Juliana Kurinka Children’s Play Area offers four play areas for children of all ages. It includes Wet, Adventure, Sand, and Tot Playgrounds with equipment and features designed for interactive, physical, and social play.
The Par 3 Golf Course is a popular 18-hole course for golfers of all ages. The Thomas J. Breaks Pavilion is This small picnic pavilion that is available to rent seasonally for groups of up to 24 people.
