The Tioga Falls Historical Nature Trail is 2 miles long. It traces an old winding wagon roadbed up a steep hillside, crossing a railroad track. It passes the site of the old Tioga Railroad Station. At the 700 foot elevation mark, the trail skirts "Little Prussia," an old German settlement. The trail then descends, passing numerous interesting features, including an old stagecoach, rest area, stone road work and on old spring house, before reaching the falls. Dirt dike remnants that once secured water for a swimming pool are located near the falls. Nature, folklore, and historical features are incorporated on the trail. A broad range of flora and common trees may also be found along the trail. These include red oak, sugar maple, American beech, shug bark hickory, and yellow poplar. Black locust, cottonwood and sycamore prevail. Vegetation includes a variety of mosses and ferns among the many limestone outcroppings.
