The South Kelsey Trail accesses the Wild and Scenic and Awesome South Fork of the Smith River and the Siskiyou Wilderness. The trail follows the river for seven miles and then begins it ascent to the Siskiyou Wilderness High Country and eventually connects to the Klamath National Forest. The high country visitor is rewarded with awesome views of the Pacific Ocean, the rugged Siskiyou and Marble Mountains and Mount Shasta, all this with low visitor use and lots of solitude.
