From Angel Fire: drive south on HWY 434, right turn onto Forest Road 76, trailhead is on righthand side of FR 76. From Valle Escondido: drive approximately 7 miles generally south on Forest Road 437 to Garcia Park...two trailheads are established on the east and west sides of the meadows leading off in seperate directions. From Taos: El Nogal is the first USFS recreation site in Taos Canyon as you head east towards Angel Fire on HWY 64, trail crosses the bridge on the western end of the parking lot.
