The parking lot for the Lakeside Cafe is a great starting place for enjoying the trail in its entirety. While not directly on the trail, it is about a mile away from the Northern end of the trail and linked by the Shoreline Park Trails.

This is also a favorite destination for lunch or a snack with both the Boathouse Cafe and Michaels Restaurant nearby. Or just a place for a break to watch the windsurfers and sailors.
