This green oasis in bustling Hayes Valley features a busy playground and new art exhibits every 6 to 12 months. Bring your lunch and enjoy an outdoor break at one of the picnic tables while admiring the current art on a display, a 15-foot female Buddha sculpture known as Tara by the artist Dana Albany. Dana built Tara using recycled construction, household hardware and machine parts from toe to crown, and assembled it so that her skin is as smooth and shiny as an ice sculpture wrapped in jewels.
