Fees Apply. State maintenance of the road ends at the bridge just past the fee station/main parking area and becomes significantly rougher, cars with low clearance are not recommended past the bridge. Reed Lakes trailhead is about 1/8mi down the road from the main parking area on the right side of the road. There is another parking lot at the trailhead, but it is not maintained and is rough with large rocks, puddles, and potholes.
