The arch, which remains mostly hidden on the north side of Greenville Creek can be seen from the bottle of the riverbank steps. It is formed in Cedarville Dolomite and has a span (the actual length of unsupported rock forming the arch) of 11 feet. It was formed by erosion concentrated at this place by the continual moisture provided by a strong current of spring water which originally surfaced from the face of the cliff where the arch now opens.
