The cabin was replaced in 2015 with a new larger log cabin. Located a stone's throw from Nancy Lake, the site is most easily accessed from the water. It is a short 1/4-mile paddle by canoe, ski or snowmobile from the Nancy Lake Canoe Trailhead parking area at Mile 1.6 Nancy Lake Parkway. It can also be accessed at the Public Use Cabin Trailhead at Mile 1.8 Nancy Lake Parkway; follow the signs 1/2-mile trail to the cabin. Floats or ski-plane accessible.
NOTE SEPTEMBER 2016: The steep hill on the cabin trail has been re-routed with a much gentler grade, suitable for hiking, skiing or snowmobiling. The cabin has 2 double bunks, a storage loft, outside picnic table, fireplace and overlooks scenic Nancy Lake.
