Mills Pool is CLOSED for the 2023 season.

The following water toys are NOT permitted for use at Mills Pool:

  • flotation tubes, mats, chairs, or loungers
  • squirt guns or Super Soakers

The below types of water toys ARE permitted for use at Mills Pool:

  • Coast Guard-approved life jackets or pfds
  • Arm rings
  • Noodles
  • Dive toys
  • Toddler pool toys (pails, etc.)


Mills Pool is an outdoor, public swimming pool operated by the City of Bloomington, Indiana Parks and Recreation Department. Open Memorial Day through the first of August. 

For specific availability, contact the Parks and Recreation Department office at 812-349-3700, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. All pool reservations must be made in person at the Parks and Recreation office, located at 401 N. Morton St. Suite 250 inside City Hall - Showers Building.

Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool are perfect locations for your summertime event. Rates include lifeguards and customer service staff. Food and drink may be brought in but must remain in designated concession areas; alcoholic beverages, smoking, and vaping are not permitted. 

Entire Pool Facility (Main pool, waterslide and zero-depth activity area) is available to rent for $200/hour.
