This Mel Waters' mural celebrates the days when there were so many jazz clubs in the neighborhood, it was known as the "Harlem of the West". This mural runs the length of a medium-sized parking lot that belongs to the Little Zion Baptist Church (best viewed on Sundays, when the parking lot gate is open). The mural features jazz icons Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and Billie Holiday - all of whom once performed nearby.
