This trailhead is just 100 yards from Matanuska Lake. and—it’s a great walk in the woods, past prime waterfowl habitat. It’s an easy hike. Take a right at the first intersection (M-K Trail) to get to the main hiking and biking trails.

How to get there: Turn north (left coming from Anchorage, right coming from Palmer) off Glenn Highway about 0.5 mi east of Glenn - Parks interchange
