Both cabins are identical inside. The two cabins are approximately 200 feet from each other making them good choices for multiple groups wanting to stay close to each other. Each cabin has a trail to Lynx Lake that is approximately 300 feet away. The cabins can also be reached overland near Mile 12 Lynx Lake Road. Note that this rough, unmaintained road is closed to highway vehicles at Mile 6 during summer months. Access beyond the gate is hike-in only. During the winter, the road is not plowed and may be traversed by ski, snowshoe, dog sled or snowmachine.
