The Pflugerville Heritage Trail is the backbone of our trail system. Along its route the user will encounter the Heritage House Museum, old bottling works site, a one room school house site and travel on an old railroad line. A portion of the trail benefits from a renewable energy demonstration project that lights the trail with solar and wind power. The solar panels and wind generators are placed on the roof of a small picnic shelter, providing light at no monthly cost to taxpayers. The trail also links four parks, two swimming pools and a recreation center. The trail features European style signs that indicate distance and travel times to the linked facilities. Heritage Trail truly combines the old and new while giving users a safe place for recreation. The city of Pflugerville has partnered with the Austin Travis Health and Human Services Department to provide outdoor fitness equipment. The two locations for this equipment are along Heritage Trail loop.
