The Deer Haven public use cabin is located inside the protection of Carry Inlet near Big Bay on Shuyak Island State Park just up from the ocean shoreline in a dense old growth Sitka spruce forest. The cabin is built from a cedar 'Pan Abode' kit and measures 12' x 20’, which includes an outhouse and a wood shed usually outfitted with wood and splitting tools at the cabin site.
