Located on the NW corner of Talkeetna Lakes Park, the Comsat Trailhead offers access to 1,040 acres of park surrounding six lakes. The well-maintained trailhead has an outhouse and is a short portage from X Lake, a popular canoeing destination.

Comsat Trailhead is the start of several trails, including the 3.5 mile X Loop. Trails are groomed in winter for skiing and snowshoeing.
