By Bill Evans, Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District

Explore wildlife, a splash pad, a hidden park, and great grilled cheese in the Bethany area of Portland.

You can walk or bike: The loop is just over 4 miles. It includes passage along the Rock Creek Trail and through the Stoller Creek Greenway. I believe that the whole itinerary is ADA accessible, and I know it’s suitable for kids of all ages. My daughters are 10 and 1; both enjoy every stop along the way.

  • Potty Break: Public restrooms are available at Bethany Lake Park, Bethany Meadows Park, and in Bethany Village.
  • Parking: Onsite at Bethany Lake Park.
