Start the climb up Hawk Peak's south facing slope after crossing through the gated trail head along  Skislope Way. You'll wind your way up through mature trees and dense manzanita before connecting to the Andromeda trail. Once you hit this doubletrack trail, head left to find the remaining singletrack climb to the top of Hawk's Peak. Take in 360 degree views from the serenity of Tahoe Donner's highest peak.
