This section of trail is at the rural western edge of Novato. Hikers and equestrians head north through woodland, over grassy hillsides with scenic views of Stafford Lake, around Little Mountain, and through forest and alongside Novato Creek in O’Hair Park. Mountain bikers are allowed on a 0.7-mile re-trail section in Little Mountain Open Space Preserve that edges a residential neighborhood.
