This is the only approved and managed route to properly enter the Makua Kea'au Public Hunting Area. Hunter must ensure they follow this guided route and obey all posted signs. Please respect neighboring private properties and ranching areas to ensure public access is maintained. Hunter must acknowledge that any deviation from the the approved route may be subject to trespassing fines on behalf of the private landowners.

Accessibility Description
Hawaii Public Hunters may request a combination for the highway gate to enter into the public hunting area. Church staff will commonly open the gate at 7:00 am in which combination would not be required. Hunters must obey all listed hunting periods, seasons, days, and special conditions/restrictions. Please research in "Areas" for more information about the Makua Kea'au PHA or Forest Reserve.
