The Parks and Community Services (Recreation) Department operates a variety of program and services for the residents of Benicia. The Department also maintains and operates 211 developed park and landscaped acres, plus one 577-acre regional park, 35 city-owned buildings, 1 City-owned cemetery, 1 aquatic facility, and 1 community center. The Department has responsibility for over 68 open space access areas and maintenance of a lighting and landscape district, consisting of 5 zones.</>
