About this tour: For over 170 years, at 1,300 acres, New Orleans City Park has provided access to abundant natural and cultural resources to residents of the region and tourists from around the world. Meander under the ancient live oak trees and learn about the origins of City Park, the influence of the 1930s Works Progress Administration, and other iconic landmarks along the way.
We will be walking on paved sidewalks and grassy areas, not more than two miles in length. Physical distancing will be required. Recommended: closed-toed shoes, bug spray, refillable water bottle (or a glass of wine!). Tour size is limited to 25 people.
About: Casie Duplechain is the Chief Development Officer for New Orleans City Park where she oversees park-wide fundraising and marketing efforts. A native New Orleanian, Duplechain received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Orleans and is certified in Urban Park Executive Leadership though CUNY and the Central Park Institute. She enjoys uniting people and creating opportunities for a better New Orleans.
