Please join the San Ramon Open Space Committee on a hike on the amazing Dougherty Valley Ridge Trail through the heart of San Ramon. Starting at the Amador Rancho Community Center, participants will hike into the open space using the Quail Run Trail. Once on the Dougherty Valley Trail, spectacular views of Las Trampas, Mt. Diablo, Highland Ridge, and the rest of the Tri-Valley can be seen and enjoyed. The hike will continue north to the Coyote Canyon Trail, and then proceed back on the same path, back to the Amador Rancho Community Center. The hike will be roughly 4.5 miles with up to an 800-foot elevation gain, and is expected to take about 3-3.5 hours to complete. The trail is almost entirely grassy trails, so please wear appropriate footwear. Dogs are allowed, however they must be leashed at all times. The walk is free, however pre-registration is required.
Due to the current County Health Guidelines, the City requests that all participants come prepared with appropriate face coverings and their own water. City will communicate with all registered participants regarding any updates to the County Health Guidelines that must be followed on the day of the event. Furthermore, if the program registration is full, the City encourages all interested participants to put their name on the waitlist. The City follows the County Health Orders and will release more openings if the County Health Orders allow.
