This is a fun snowshoe challenge at the new Skeetawk Ski Area near Hatcher Pass! Stay Active this winter and join us this February for the first USSSA Snowshoe Qualifier for AKtive Soles Performance Footwear. The course will be loop style, finishing where you start, beginning at the base chair of ski hill area and continuing up through the groomed snowpack mountain area. Painted wooden stakes with directional insignia will mark the course. The color red will represent 5 k and the color blue for 10K. Runners ascend 1.5 miles over 600 vertical feet then traverse across mountain before descending back to base area. Course will be a mix of groomed hard pack and singletrack deep snow, cutting in and out of alder patches and switchbacking across ski hill. There will be one course, a 5 kilometer distance. 10 K competitors will complete two laps of course.
