Interested in learning to sail? This experience is for you! Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Lake Monroe Sailing Association (LMSA) offer two types of sailing experiences: keel boat and small boat. 

Keel Boat: No previous sailing experience is required. Instruction includes rigging, sailing and docking keel boats approximately 25' long. This class is appropriate for those with limitations that make handling small boats difficult. Offerings include a two-day class for $300 or a three-day class for $500 that includes American Sailing Association certification. Successful completion of the certification qualifies sailors access to LMSAs fleet of small boats. 

Small Boat: This class offers a simple way to get started in sailing! Plan to be wet and in the water!

Classes run Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. from May 6th to September 25th.
