Herb of grace also called water hyssop is a low-growing plant that forms dense mats in moist environments. The small white flowers bloom year-round in central and south Florida. This species will tolerate brackish water, but is most often observed along the margins of freshwater marshes and wet prairies. This plant can be used as part of an array of species vegetating open wetter portions of the landscape.  It is a host plant for the white peacock butterfly, but other bees and butterflies will also come to the flowers for nectar. Its cousin the lemon bacopa looks similar.  Crush the leaves.... if there is no lemony smell then you have Bacopa monnieri!  The leaves of this plant are edible and can be used in salads, but it is bitter so biter beware!
