Due to landslides in the upper reaches of Mountain Creek Valley, the trail between the Cherry Bend Trailhead and the E Fly Gap Road Trailhead is currently closed and unsafe for passage.  The Forest Service recommends hiking North along Hwy 23 for 1/2-mile, then following E Fly Gap Road to where the OHT crosses.  You may also call Turner Bend Store at (479) 667-3641 to arrange for a shuttle (paid service).
