The West Glenwood Preserve opened to the public in 2018 and since then has become a destination for locals and visitors alike for bike rides, nature hikes and leashed dog walking. A persistent band of local activists saved the preserve from development before it was purchased by the city. The City of Scotts Valley partners with the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County to manage the property for special species protection and compatible access. The preserve has an especially spectacular wildflower bloom in the spring and we hope you come to enjoy it! The West Glenwood Preserve is located on the northeast side side of Scotts Valley next to Scotts Valley High School. It is accessible from Glenwood Drive with parking across from the High School and on K Street.
