Wasque (“way-skwee”) is a coastal property in transition. The beach at Wasque Point is gone as is Swan Pond and the Wasque Point beach is a thin strip of sand at the base of towering sand cliffs which end in the surf. Wasque Swimming Beach is still present, but expect changes to happen on this beach as well. Hikers will find .5 miles of trails to follow, through a habitat of rare sand barrens. Popular with birdwatchers: herons, egrets, sandpipers, piping plovers, terns and other shorebirds can be observed here. Saltwater anglers find Wasque a fine destination for striped bass and bluefish.

From ferry, take Chappaquiddick Rd. 2.5 mi. At sharp right curve in road, bear right onto School Rd. and follow for 0.8 mi. At second sharp curve in road, bear left onto Wasque Rd. (turns into a dirt road) and follow for 1.2 mi. to entrance and parking.
