These beautiful oak woodlands and rolling grasslands are home to many species including deer, bobcat, and the threatened California red-legged frog and tiger salamander. This scenic preserve offers over 10 miles of hiking trails, including the 1.2 mile Aquila Loop Trail -- ideal for beginning hikers and children.

Sunday - Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve parking lot closes at 5:00 p.m. daily. Visitors already in the preserve before 5:00 p.m. are allowed to stay until 30 minutes after sunset (5:30 p.m.).
