This cherished regional park was donated to the community in 1920 and is a true nugget of nature in Bend. With Tumalo Creek winding through the park, several footbridges provide an opportunity to access trails on both sides. Spectacular views can be seen from the top of the ridge with views of the creek and skyline. With nearly 1,000 acres, Shevlin Park is home to miles of trails for hikers and mountain bikes and old-growth forests and high desert sage-covered lands make this this park an exceptional outdoor escape. Those looking for a space to gather will delight in the popular Aspen Hall and fishing pond, Aspen shelter with picnic tables and plenty of spots to sit by the creek and simply relax.
