Ride the historic rails! Railtown 1897 SHP preserves a functioning steam locomotive repair and maintenance facility. This one-of-a-kind attraction combines industrial heritage and railroad history with the lore of Hollywood's film industry.

In the heart of California's Gold Country, Railtown 1897 SHP is home to the Historic Jamestown Shops and Roundhouse. Tour the historic roundhouse and operating turntable. The unique facilities, including a blacksmith and machine shop, are still used to inspect, repair and rebuild locomotives and railcars. Enjoy a picnic in the large grassy area, then head over to see fan favorites like the Movie Exhibit and the Movie Star, Sierra No. 3. More than 200 productions have used the park and trains. Visitors will recognize several titles, including Back to the Future Part III.
