Peaked Hill is the island’s summit at 311 feet above sea level. A 1/4 mile away, is a World War II military lookout and garrison. Promontories offer vistas of the south shore, Noman’s Land, the Aquinnah peninsula, Menemsha Bight, the Elizabeth Islands and Buzzards Bay. Boulders are strewn about, including the Wee Devil’s Bed and Stonecutter’s Rock.

From Middle Road, go up Tabor House Road 0.5 miles and turn left onto Pasture Road. Stay on Pasture Road past Basswood Lane.  1/10 mile later, then turn right at the fork. Long driveway leads to trailhead
