Step back in time as you explore this treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Recognized as the Muskingum River Navigation Historic District, this 112-mile marvel of locks and dams played a pivotal role in unlocking the trade and development of Ohio and the entire Midwest. Witness one of the remaining complete systems of hand-operated locks in the nation, still operational for recreational boats. Relax and soak in the river views from the park’s picnic shelter south of Lock #7 on State Route 376.
