Amidst rolling hills, Louis Bromfield, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, screenwriter, and dedicated conservationist, created his dream—Malabar Farm. He built the 32-room Big House for family and friends to gather. Hollywood legends, such as Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, were regular visitors. Bromfield used his land to develop sustainable farming practices still used today. Highlights of the park include the Pugh and Maple cabins, a working farm with a historic barn, and Mt. Jeez. A state park since 1976, Malabar Farm offers guided tours April-November.
