Leo Carrillo State Park offers over a mile of beach with all the typical shore activities, shaded campgrounds, and some back country hiking. The park is located 28 miles northwest of Santa Monica on the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1). Phone 310-457-8143 for more information.
Camping Canyon Campground: Seven campsites are generally accessible (#2, #4, #33, #47, #57, #79, and #119)- including parking and routes. Three combination restroom/shower buildings, dispersed throughout the campground, are generally accessible with adjacent parking. Distances from campsites to restrooms vary but routes are generally accessible.
Group Camp: Includes an accessible combination restroom with shower and one accessible tent pad.
Camp Store: Entry is accessible. Interior aisle width varies, but staff assistance is available. One designated accessible parking site is adjacent to the store.
Picnic Area North Beach: Two accessible picnic sites overlooking the beach are available. Accessible parking and accessible portable restrooms are nearby. A generally accessible restroom building, parking, drinking fountain, and outdoor rinsing shower are available toward the end of the North Beach parking lot.
Trails The Nicolas Flat Trail Extension (AKA Camp 13 Trail) is accessible for approximately 0.7 mile. The trail, made of gravel and compacted soil, parallels the Canyon Campground and provides coastal views. Trailhead is near the campground entrance station and across from campsite #47. Generally accessible restrooms are located in the campground.
The Nicholas Pond Trail is accessible for approximately 0.6 mile. The trail, which is within the Nicholas Flat Natural Preserve, traverses through an oak chaparral, offers mountainous views, and terminates at Nicholas Pond. Accessible parking is available at the trailhead, which is located at the end of Decker School Road. There are no restrooms at the trailhead.

North Beach: This beach is accessed by following the park entrance road under Highway 1. Accessible parking and restrooms are available. Routes to the beach (which is a short distance from the parking lot) are usable.
South Beach: This beach is accessed via the parking lot just past the park entrance station. Accessible parking and a portable restroom are available. The beach is a short distance from the parking lot, and is accessed via a route that crosses under Highway 1. The route from the parking lot to the beach is generally accessible, and terminates at a restroom building that is usable.
Exhibits/Programs The Visitor Center, accessed from the South Beach parking lot, is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and is accessible- including the exhibits within. Parking and route to the Visitor Center is accessible.
