Holzapfel Preserve is adjacent to the Greenville High School and can be accessed by Meadow Lane and a small parking area. The preserve is the result of the many years of local resident Elaine Holzapfel who worked to plant her own native arboretum. Darke County Parks acquired this preserve in 2019 with the intent to work with the nearby school in providing a land lab option for the science clubs.
