California's first State Vehicular Recreation Area, founded in 1975. This park offers 6,800 acres of scenic and varied terrain for off-highway vehicles, and dedicated hiking, bicycling, and equestrian trails.

Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area is one of the participating California State Parks that you can visit for free with the 4th Grade Adventure Pass.
