This delightful park features easy access to paved and soft surface trails, popular beaches for relaxing or launching a float trip, and exploring the shops in the Old Mill District. Farewell Bend Park runs along the Deschutes River and includes natural marshes and abundant riparian areas, making for excellent nature viewing. The Deschutes River Trail runs the length of the park and connects visitors to the Old Mill District, to Riverbend Park across the river, or to the South Canyon Trail Bridge to the south. Visitors will enjoy two viewing shelters along the river, a large picnic shelter, a boardwalk, interpretive signage, bouldering rocks, and a thrilling “lumber mill” theme playground for the kiddos.
